DISNEYLAND!!!

Disneyland is probably my favorite place on this planet.  I don’t really know why, but when I think of Disney, I just immediately become overjoyed!  So, I’m thankful for having some friends who feel the same way about it!

My lovely friend Lacy had her 19th birthday on February 28, so we decided to go to Disneyland to celebrate!

IMG_3350

So, Monday the 27th at about 11pm we got on the road from Vegas to Anaheim. There wasn’t any traffic so it was a smooth drive straight there!  We stayed in a little motel for the night and got some sleep for our big day!

IMG_3357

As we arrived at Disneyland and walked up to the gate, we scanned our tickets overjoyed when we head the WORST sound EVER!!!! The ticket was being declined.  Not just one ticket either, no, 2 tickets.  Nick and Ashley’s tickets were both declined and Lacy and I had already gone through the gate.   Now, if you haven’t been to Disneyland before, the tickets expire one year after purchase, so as long as you don’t scan them you can go anytime.  However, once you go through the gate you can’t get a refund.  Whether you were inside for 5 minutes or 5 hours.  It doesn’t matter.

Now we start to panic, because Disneyland tickets are not cheap.  Apparently, what had happened, Disney refunded the tickets to the cards and the money would return in 3-5 business days.  This is upsetting because now how are we supposed to enjoy our day at Disney if we don’t have everyone there.  So, I ended up paying for Nick’s ticket in full and then Ashley and Nick payed for her ticket.  We made it in the park!

Now, the world was our oyster!  We walked around and rode on so so many rides!  I don’t know about you, but I love to be comfy at Disneyland.  So, before we left, Ashley and I went shopping!

Pretty much, the moral of the story is – don’t take life for granted.  Take an adventure, stay up that extra hour, do what you want to do to be happy because in the end that’s all we have.  Memories and joy.  Live your life.

Life Update/New Segment

Hi everyone!  How have you been?  I’m pretty good just have started back up with the second semester of my lovely little college life.  But, I wanted to go ahead and share a couple fun things that have/are happening in my life recently!  They are quite exciting and definitely open a new chapter for me in “adulthood”.

First off, I invested in eyelash extensions.  I know what you’re probably thinking and that’s that they are a complete waste of money but I 100% disagree.  I barely have to wear any makeup anymore and it’s the best thing ever!! And, I take the best selfies in the world now.  Just kidding but they are quite photogenic and are a great investment.  See for yourself!

Next thing is that I am moving out of my house!  I’m moving at about the end of the month into a nice house with a handful of other friends and my dog.  And I probably couldn’t take this step without how awesome my parents took the news and support me in my decision to take this next life step, of course with a few concerns behind them which are completely understandable but I definitely am thankful to have their “blessing” in a way!  Also, my friends are also so supportive as well, (shoutout to Regan and Ashley) I definitely couldn’t leave my comfort zone without them right behind me.  I will have my own room and I’m very excited to be “adulting” and really just taking that next step in life to becoming an adult.

Last but not least, I’ve decided to add a new segment or a little extra thing to look forward to in my blog posts and that’s a little bit of poetry.  I was given “A Book I’ll Never Write” by my lovely friend Regan and I haven’t really had time to sit down and read it so instead of trying to sit and read it I’m going to flip to a random page and write the poem down at the bottom of my posts or in their own posts if I like it too much to just add it to some other idea.  I really can’t wait to share all of these amazing poems with you but always keep in mind that they are not original ideas in any way they will all be coming from “A Book I’ll Never Write” so just keep in mind I am not poetically talented in any way.   I will start doing that next post!

Alright so comment below your goals for the upcoming year or maybe some types of posts or topics you would like to read from me very soon 🙂  Remember, you don’t need an account to comment!  I can’t wait to decorate my room and show you all how awesome my new house is!  Also, I would love if you all contacted me so feel free to follow my Twitter or Instagram by clicking on the word and I can’t wait to hear from you !

A Journey (REALLY LONG POST)

I just wanted to sit at my laptop and write for a moment, about nothing really in particular, just my life.  It’s kind of long, but I hope you enjoy.

I was born on December 23, 1998 in Washington state.

I lived there for 7 years and during that time I don’t remember much.  I remember going to preschool and also sitting at my plastic desk doing school work for homeschool because I was homeschooled for kindergarten and first grade.  Also, I remember dressing up in animal onesies with my friend Sean Holland and play animals around his house.  And I remember going to second grade with my two best friends Sean and Brianna P where we played in the rocks and hid underneath tires.

In the middle of my first year at public school, second grade, we moved to California where I remember most of my childhood.

I met so many amazing people, for example Danielle H, Brianna L, Shaiann, Kirstin L, and so so SO many more. I remember countless times when we would run around and swing at the red white and blue park, and there was the yellow park down the street, and I remember 7th grade walking to school was the most fun time of the entire day.  I remember hanging out at the BX or walking down the street to the shopette just for something to do.  I remember eating bagels with butter and pepperoni for a snack and I don’t know why but it was the most delicious thing in the entire world.  Leaving California was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do, but it has definitely proved itself worth it.  I am going to go a little more in depth with 7th grade though because that was definitely an eventful year.

I decided to do competitive cheer in 7th grade and I had an amazing time.  I was balancing 7th grade, cheer, and student council all at the same time.  Also, I had my first “boyfriend” and his name was Nick F.  Pretty cool guy, and he added me on snapchat a few months ago and I thought it was such a crazy thing that he found me.  Anyways, I was very very busy and that made the year fly by a little faster than I wanted.

Once making it to Las Vegas, it was the beginning of summer so I didn’t have any friends yet.  I spent the entire summer skyping my friend Danielle and honestly just playing video games all afternoon.  It wasn’t the best experience but it was something to do.

I feel as though I hyped 8th grade up a little too much because when I arrived it was so much harder to make friends than I had imagined.  I met up with a girl called Selena who was from southern California and she had just moved there too.  We didn’t have much else in common, but at least we had that.  We also were in the same homeroom together so it made life a little less stressful to face this new school with someone.  Then in PE, I met 2 more people, Cayenne and Christina.  They were super nice to me and I was super excited that I had made 3 friends already and my first day wasn’t over.  THEN I had my history class, where I met my soon to be best friend Lacy F.  I’m not going to go into detail on how we met but let’s just say, it’s funny.

A few weeks into school and I had met 2 more people, Lacey A and Zach C.  Selena and I stopped being friends after one lunch I received a text saying we weren’t friends anymore, which is fine.  I had Lacey and Zach.  We hung out at lunch every single day for about 2-3 weeks and it was super duper fun.  One day, Lacy asked me to sit with her and her friends at lunch and I said sure.  We talked and I met a few more people such as Kaitlyn and I was super happy to get along with these people.  Little did I know, Lacey and Lacy weren’t friends and soon enough Lacey told me to choose between them and well, I chose Lacy.  Thank goodness I did.  The first time Lacy and I ever hung out after school was at a carnival and then we had our very first sleepover right after. We were fast friends.

High school came and Lacy was practically my only friend.  We had the same lunch on A days and B days, so we were always together.  One day, Lacy and I had a small falling out and we stopped being friends.  It wasn’t like we fought or anything, we had just stopped talking really.  Now, I was all alone.  I ate lunch in the theatre on B days because, well, that was the only place I didn’t feel weird eating alone.  I met a kid named Josh, who was a senior and I thought I was the coolest kid on the block for hanging out with him.  Josh, Miranda C and I started eating lunch together EVERY B day.  I never asked for his social media or to take a picture or anything like that because I was afraid that if I did we would stop being friends.  After all, I was only a freshman and he was a SENIOR.

Winter break came rolling around and I came downstairs the day before my birthday.  My mom had this look on her face like she had bad news.  I asked what was wrong and she had told me that Josh had committed suicide the night before.  That was the hardest thing to hear when, at the time, he was really my only friend. I just said, “oh, okay. that’s so sad.” and then moved along with my day.  I guess I’ve always put up a front when bad things happen.  Miranda and I continued to eat lunch together and talk because, well, we still had one thing in common.  Josh.

Sophomore year I decided to quit doing competitive cheer and join school cheer.  To be honest, I hated it.  But one good thing did come out of it and that was my friend Miranda R.  We are still friends to this day but tbh I haven’t heard from really any of the other girls I cheered with since then.  During this time I decided I was going to make this girl Piper talk to me.  I was completely successful and we became fast friends.  Piper was 100% my bestest friend throughout this entire year and still is a good friend today.   Right towards the end of the year, Lacy and I linked back up and were back to being great friends.  Over summer, Lacy and I took a trip to Reno and it was super fun.  We didn’t do much but we met some super nice people and hung around the arcade a LOT.

Junior year I decided to quit cheer completely and devote my year to theatre.  BEST DECISION I HAD EVER MADE!!!!! Theatre became my life and if you needed me, I was there.  I participated in every single show that year.  Lip Sync- Hobo group, BGB- Ensemble, Make a Wish- A Friend Like ME (Victor, MJ, Savannah, and I), A Midsummer’s Nights Dream- Peasant with MJ, Shrek the Musical- Assistant Stage Manager/Duloc Doll.  I was busy all year long but I was so happy with myself.  During this time I also had my first real boyfriend Dayton and learned so much about myself.

Senior year.  Wow.  It definitely flew by faster than everyone warned it would.  I can’t even express how fast it flew genuinely.  I was still very involved in theatre, but I stage managed so much more throughout the year.  Lip Sync- Hit the Quan, BGB- Newsies, Fall Dance Show- Stage Manager, Harvey- Stage Manager and Grand, Spring Dance Show- Stage Manager, Beauty and the Beast- Stage Manager.  So, you could say that I really enjoyed stage managing.  Throughout the year I can definitely say I made some friendships I never want to give up.  I also got so much closer to people I already knew.  Some people I want to shout out is Brendan, Griffin, Ambur, Bret, Bella, Brad, Kacie… genuinely thankful for these people and the friendships I have with them.  Bonds, that I think, can’t be broken.  Also, I went to New York with my theatre and created another bond with someone – Rachael.  This girl and I have some of the best conversations and honestly can’t thank her enough for being my rock.  ALSO – SHOUTOUT TO ASHLEY MY BEST FRIEND 🙂 She lived at my house practically over the summer, and I couldn’t ask for a nicer person in my life.

No matter what happened throughout the year, I am so thankful for everyone who is in my life.  It’s crazy to think that I have been friends with Danielle since 2nd grade and I am a freshman in COLLEGE.  That’s about 11 YEARS of friendship.  Absolutely insane.  Also, I’ve been friends with Brianna for just about the same amount of time and she just visited about a year ago?  Maybe a year and a half?

I believe that you make an effort to keep the people in your life that you care the most about.

College.  I haven’t really done much as far as college goes yet.  I went to a football game where a drunk guy almost puked on me, I went to a frat party, and I did genuinely terrible as far as grades in my first semester.  But one good thing came out of it and that’s “my only friend from college” Hanna.  She’s such a little bundle of sunshine and has been my best friend this past semester.  Unfortunately, she will no longer be attending UNLV with me but that will never change the memories or even change the fact that she is one of my best friends.  I can definitely say I hung out with her EVERY SINGLE DAY of the semester and I never got bored of her.  I don’t quite know what I am going to do without her but I will have to survive.  She definitely taught me a little about myself and how it’s totally NOT weird to drive to California with someone one week after you meet them if you really think that they are going to be your good friend.  Because I did that, and we became the best of friends.  We’ve had so many good memories and I am thankful to say we don’t have a single bad one.  I’m glad to call her my friend.

The future.  This next year I have so much planned.  I have my next semester of college, I am starting a second job, and I am going to Europe with Rachael and my family.  I am so excited to see what this year has in store for me.  Thank you, to all of my friends and family for supporting me in my life.  I’m ready to see what’s next.

Facing My Fears

I have decided to face my fears.  I know this sounds vague so I will go into a little detail before I continue.

I have recently been looking into studying abroad, and the place I want to go is Brighton, England.  I have thought about all of the risks and all of the benefits and have decided I am going to give it a shot.  This is very nerve wrecking because I have never even been out of the country, let alone living there for months on end.

I have, however, made up my mind that I am in fact going to apply.  It will cost a little bit of money out of pocket, but not too much that it will effect me in any way.

I guess, I’m writing this post to get your stamp of approval?

Is this actually a good idea?? Or am I just crazy …

I would love to hear your thoughts about this, maybe convincing me that this really is a good idea?

Breakfast of Champions?

The other morning, I was running late for school (which happens to be a normal thing for me) so I wasn’t able to grab anything on the way to school for breakfast because on this particular morning, I was running REALLY late.

So, I was in my car when I realized… I HAVE A BAG OF FLAMING HOT LAYS IN THE BACKSEAT OF MY CAR OMG.

Now I know what you are probably thinking, flaming hot lays? What? When has this ever been a thing?? Well, I didn’t discover them until the other day when I went to Walmart with my friend Lacy.  She decided to walk down the chips isle and BEHOLD – flaming hot lays.  Sure, I’ve had your typical flaming hot Cheeto or your Takis, but never had I ever had a flaming hot lay.  So I tried them, and OH MY GOODNESS!! They’re delicious.

Back to the story – I was driving and I realized I had the bag of chips and I got ridiculously excited because well, I love those chips.  Only problem, however, it was 7:30am and I don’t know about you but I don’t really consider that the prime time for eating chips. But, I did it anyways.

I ate the whole family sized bag.

Not my proudest moment.

Now, it was around 8am and my mouth was on fire and I had nothing to drink because, once again, I was running late.  I noticed a bottle of water on the floor of the passenger seat of my car and deeply thought about whether or not that was the best idea.

I concluded that yes, it was a perfect idea.  So, I sat and drank my water that was probably sitting in the car for about a week.  It tasted a little funny but in the end it was an okay decision.  So, that’s it.  That is the best breakfast you can have when you’re running ridiculously late. 🙂

New Face Product

Okay so I know I don’t have any experience reviewing any products ever, but I just bought a brand new makeup remover from Sephora thats from IT Cosmetics.

And trust me, I am no beauty guru but when it comes to this product, all I want to do is rave about it.

img_2626

So, it comes out as a waxy material and you apply it all over your face where there is makeup, including on your eyelashes, and you leave it on for 1 minute.  After the minute is up you will rinse your face with minimal scrubbing, you won’t need to scrub hard, and the makeup will literally melt off of your face.  I know that sounds too good to be true so I have before, during, and after pictures of my face when I used it.

img_2622This is the before picture, my makeup is still on and in tact, as you can see I am wearing foundation, concealer, mascara, and I did my eyebrows.

This is the during picture, I just applied the remover and it was already MELTING off of my face, mostly my mascara, I hadn’t waited the minute yet and I hadn’t rinsed.img_2623This is the after picture where I rinsed off my face and patted it dry.

img_2625LIKE, HOLY CRAP.. IT WORKED.

I was also wearing waterproof mascara and idk if you wear waterproof, but if you do you will know that stuff NEVER comes off, but it did first try with this makeup remover.  I was seriously impressed.  So if you are interested in buying this lovely product it is by IT Cosmetics.

img_2627Called BYE BYE MAKEUP. It is 3-in-1 which means it is a makeup remover, a cleanser, and a moisturizer all in one.  Now, don’t use this product for every day cleansing of your skin, but feel free to use it any day you have makeup on.  They do recommend using a normal cleanser/face wash after to completely clean your pores but if you are exhausted and don’t have time to do so, don’t worry about it because it does do the job already for you.

10/10 would recommend.  And like I said I got this product from my local Sephora so go pick one up it is LITERALLY magic.
